Chairperson State Social Welfare Board (SSWB), Dr Nirmal Gupta conducted an extensive tour of Leh to review the functioning of crèche centres in the hilly district.During the inspection, the Chairperson expressed satisfaction over the functioning of the crèche centres being run by NGO Care World in villages Chuchot Shama, Chuchot Thiksay, Chuchot Gongma, and Housing Colony Leh.She complimented the management of the crèche centres for providing healthy nutrition and other playway facilities to children. She found the children quite brainy and well equipped with basics of child education.Dr Gupta suggested the caretakers to use innovative methods to make the little buds more dynamic. He also asked the management to resolve the issues of workers and helpers at these centres to the maximum benefit of the children.On her two-day visit, the Chairperson SSWB also met several delegations including delegates of NGO Mahila Mandal who proposed to establish Family Counseling Centers for the civil society of Leh.The Chairperson assured them that their proposal would be taken up with the Central Social welfare Board.Executive Director Shahid Mahmood, PRO to HCP Dr Makson Tickoo and other concerned accompanied the Chairperson SSWB.
