Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Ajay Nanda today dedicated 63 KVA Power Sub-Station worth 2.19 lakh, funded from his Constituency Development Fund to the people of Bagot Jagir Pouni.Officers of PDD department, PRIs and locals of the area were present on the occasion.While addressing the gathering, Nanda said that these areas have been facing power crises and problem of low voltage and power cuts since long time and with the commissioning of the new power utility, large numbers of households will sufficient electricity.The Minister also stated that steps are being taken up by the government to improve power infrastructure and power supply in other areas which are yet to be connected with power grid.He encouraged the people to come forward with their demands and basic issues related to ration supply, drinking water, roads connectivity, employment under MGNREGA, power supply, seeds availability and alike without any hesitation as they are the rightful beneficiaries of various schemes of the government.He also inspected the ongoing developmental works of the area and assured people that more such works are in pipeline and will start soon for the overall development of the area.
