Putting up an impressive show of strength, Aam Aadmi Party on Mondayheld a political conference on the sacred occasion of Rakhar Punia at Baba Bakala. All the state leaders including party president, Bhagwant Mann, the leader of opposition in Punjab vidhan sabha, Sukhpal Singh Khaira and other MLAs were present on the stage. While addressing the people on the occasion, Bhagwant Mann said that AAP had repeatedly warned the people of Punjab before the recently concluded Punjab Assembly elections that SAD-BJP and Congress were in a secret alliance to form government in state. He said both the parties have agreed clandestinely to use all means to keep Aam Aadmi Party away from the centre of power.

Mann said that they were very well aware of the fact that in case the control of State comes into the hands of AAP, illegal businesses being run by Akali-Congress in partnership will come to halt and their nefarious designs will stand exposed in front of the public. AAP president said that the sole objective of Congress was to grab the power and after formation of government Capt. Amarinder Singh is running away from fulfilling most of the promises made during the polls.

While expressing his solidarity with the farmers of the state, Leader of opposition and AAP MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira said that Congress government has cheated the farmer fraternity by making false promises of complete debt waiver. People believed the assurances of Capt. Amarinder Singh made during the election rallies but the CM has completely shattered the dreams of the farmers who were already facing wrath of the Modi led Centre Government. He said that these anti-farmer policies of governments have led to rise in the suicides and if remedial steps are not taken immediately it will have severe repercussions. The LOP again appealed the NRI Punjabis to come forward to help the poor farmers and farm laborers in the state. He suggested that the NRI should stop spending money on cultural events being held in Punjab and use that money to form a fund for debt ridden farmers. He criticized the state government for turning a blind eye to the pitiable situation of farmers in Punjab.0n this occasion, Prof. Sadhu Singh MP, Primal Singh MLA, Meet Heir MLA, Sarabjit Kaur MLA, Nazar Singh MLA,   Jagdev Singh MLA, Jai Krishan MLA, State Vice President Kuldeep Dhaliwal, Chairman State Disciplinary Committee Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjer, Kanwarpreet Singh Kaaki President Majha Zone, State General Secretary Kuljit Singh, Harinder Singh, Dalbir Singh Tong along with volunteers were present in large number.
