Rajouri Administration invites applications for Media Fellowship

District Administration, has invited applications from interested media persons for Media Fellowship in "Development Administration" to be awarded to working journalists associated with both print and electronic media.District Development Commissioner, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, had recently announced 10 Fellowships in different sectors which have now been increased to 18 in view of overwhelming response of several media persons from Pir Panjal region.The selected fellows will be assigned specific areas to study and report on the best practices, achievements, shortfalls, gaps and come out with recommendations for improvement in service delivery.As per a notification issued on Thursday, the applicants must be permanent residents of District Rajouri, working with empanelled newspaper/regional newspaper/TV channels /digital media NOC from employer, minimum 3-5 years experience in profession, should be above 21 years of age and graduate in any subject. 

However, in case of working experience, qualification shall be relaxed. Affiliation with any political organization shall be a disqualification. Candidates shall be willing to work in any area/sector assigned by the district administration.District administration has encouraged the local working journalists to apply for the fellowship. Two fellowships shall be reserved for women which will be awarded to candidates in male category in case of non-availability of suitable candidate. In case of any vacancies remaining in the process, the candidates from any other district will be considered. This however shall confer no right for their consideration if sufficient candidates are available in the district.The fellowship will include an award of Rs 20,000 each, citation and a medal, certificate of fellowship on completion of project, facilitation of field visits and assistance for documentation.
