Ludhiana College of Engineering & Technology, Katani Kalian organized a Symposium on Emerging Paradigms in Guidance and Counselling. The seminar was organized with an aim to empower the students to make informed choices for subjects as well as careers, after identifying and recognizing their personal aptitudes, interests and abilities, and training modules to prepare the students with skills and attitudes necessary for academic and professional life. Keynote speaker at the moment was CEO & Director, Functional Heads, Videocon, Satinder Pal Singh. He guided the  students about career opportunities and  motivated the students to take the right path in deciding their Career . He later focused on the attitude and the mindset of the students. Later, the students had an interactive session with the speakers & clear their doubts about career even in Videocon. While speaking at the moment  chairman LCET Vijay Gupta said that this is an important platform where we can discuss about the various concepts in regards to counselling and guidance of students related to career. He also focused more on the Aptitude and will of the students. He further added that student must choose the career first instead of subject. If the students set their own goals in life in regards to career then it will be quite easy for them to decide about the education and to be successful in life.
