MLA Udhampur Pawan Kumar Gupta today dedicated 4 vehicles, including 2 Autos, one tipper and one compactor, to the people of Udhampur in presence of Director, Urban Local Bodies Arun Sharma.Stating that the problem of waste disposal is one of the major issues in the town, the MLA said that with the procurement of these vehicles, the people would now be able to get better sanitation facilities as these vehicles would help the department in proper disposal of waste adding that improper disposal of waste is the main reason behind outbreak of many diseases.The MLA directed CEO MC to hold awareness camps for generating awareness about the importance of cleanliness among the common masses. He further asked representatives of Beopar Mandal and Chamber of Commerce to cooperate in making the city clean.CEO MC Santosh Kotwal, EO Ramnagar, Representatives of Beopar Mandal and Chamber of Commerce besides staff of MC Udhampur were present on the occasion.
