Ludhiana College of Engineering & Technology organized International Women’s week, with a lot of fun and rollick. On the Occasion, the College organized an Art of Living seminar for the faculty members.  Amita Chopra and Rekha Mittal were key note speaker. Amita Chopra in her lecture said that woman is the most beautiful creation of the God. Women are born empowered. She also enlightened the gathering about power of meditation and Pranayam. She emphasizes that living the present moment and maintaining balance in life is the key to happiness.Students also participated in various events like Paper reading, Theater Act, Singing, Poster making which reflects the various acts of courage and determination by women in all fields of life by showing women empowerment and compulsion of girl education in today’s world.V.K. Gupta said that women are the integral part of the social system. Women empowerment addresses power and relationship in society intertwined with gender, class, race, ethnicity, age and culture. Women’s day is a celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women. According to him key to women empowerment begins with self-help and self-knowledge. He encouraged the gathering to vow a pledge to respect women and treat them with dignity and equality.
