Deputy Commissioner Kathua Ramesh Kumar reviewed the functioning of Revenue department in a meeting held, here today.DDC directed the concerned officers to ensure timely submission of reports pertaining to attestation of mutations, removal of encroachment on state/kahcharai land, disposal of court cases by tehsildars. He stressed on keeping a strict vigil to check encroachments and strengthening the mechanism to retrieve encroached state, common and kahchrai land.The Deputy Commissioner directed revenue officers to prioritize the demarcation, mutation and identification of sites to be used by army. He also directed concerned tehsildars to remove encroachments near army installations.He also reviewed the status of availability of essential commodities in snow fed areas and asked the concerned departments for putting in place adequate arrangements to deal with any situation in view of adverse weather.ADC Kathua Dr Bharat Bhushan, ACR Kathua Jatinder Mishra, SDM’s of Hiranagar, Basohli Billawar, Tehsildar’s and others attended the meeting.
