Deputy Commissioner Shopian Manzoor Ahmed Qadri accompanied by the officers of R&B, Municipal Committee, Public Health Engineering, CAPD, Mechanical Engineering and other concerned today conducted an extensive tour of Shopian town and took stock of the availability of basic amenities to the people. They also reviewed the snow clearance measures.During the visit, the DC was informed that snows from all leading roads and Tehsils have been cleared, besides supply of electricity and water has been restored. He was informed that sufficient stock of essential commodities is available in the district. He directed the concerned ensure availability of all basic amenities and facilities to the people so that they do not suffer.The Deputy Commissioner also visited District Hospital Shopian and took stock of the hospital functioning and inspected general wards, laboratories and other investigation units. He also interacted with the patients and attendants and inquired about the facilities being provided to the patients.The DC directed the hospital administration to ensure better medical facilities to the patients and ensure cleanliness in and around the hospital.Several public delegations also met the DC and appraised about the problems confronting them. The DC gave patient hearing to them and assured that their genuine issues would be resolved on priority.
