District Development Commissioner Ravinder Kumar flagged off an awareness rally on “Road Safety” organized by Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) to mark the beginning of the 28th road safety week.Many officers, teachers, students and locals took part in the rally for disseminating information on road safety among commuters, drivers, conductors and other local people.Speaking on the occasion, DDC advised the participants to avoid over speeding, racing, drunken driving, use of mobile while driving, wrong over taking and underage driving to stop loss of precious human lives and asked the participants to take all necessary safety measures for enjoying safe driving and healthy life.Assistant Regional Transport Officer Reasi Diksha Bamba interacted with the participants and stressed upon the youth to wear helmet and seat belt while driving two wheeler or four wheeler to avoid fatal injuries.
