A delegation of National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) led by its President, Subash Shastri, called on Governor N.N. Vohra, at the Raj Bhavan here today.The delegation requested the Governor for advising the State Government to continue and finalise the exercise to regularize daily rated workers in different government departments, provide separate wage heads for monthly payments to daily rated wagers and reflect the same in the budget proposals for Financial Year 2017-18; liberal funding by the Central Government and early implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendations by State Government in favour of its employees and pensioners; payment of minimum wages of Rs. 350 per day; and enhancement in the monthly medical allowance of pensioners.The Governor observed that the delegation’s demands would be taken up with the concerned authorities.
