“The Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal would not announce Chief Ministerial candidate in Punjab as he is eyeing the post of Chief Minister himself and the moment he announced his party’s Chief Ministerial candidate, his party would be finished. These views were expressed today by the Union Food Processing Industries Minister, Harsimrat Kaur Badal while interacting with the media-persons during her tour of the Mansa district.The Union Minister said that Congress party is also engrossed in misleading the people of Punjab as Captain Amarinder Singh is playing with the sentiments of people by making false promises of loan waiver, Stopping confiscation, giving jobs whereas the truth is that Captain stopped even the basic facilities to the people during his tenure. She also said that the SAD-BJP government under the leadership of Chief Minister, S. Parkash Singh Badal has initiated numerous schemes for welfare of people belonging to poor and needy sections of society besides providing jobs. 

Earlier, the Union Minister laid the foundation stone of fish breeding farm which would come up at village alisher khurd at a cost of Rs. 10 crore in 12 acre 2 canal area. She further said that earlier, the fish breeders of Mansa had to go to Bathinda and Sangrur to get fish feed but this upcoming fish breeding farm would ensure supply of quality fish feed. The Union Minister also divulged that as of now, 14 fish breeding farms are being operated in the state and this new farm would take the number up to 15. Afterwards, the Union Minister laid the foundation stone of 4 laning of road from mansa kainchian to ramdittewala chowk under O.P.R.C. project which would come to fruition at a cost of Rs. 29 crore.The Union Minister also distributed sewing machines and saplings at village gurne kalan under Nanhi Chhan scheme to the girl students of 11 villages who have completed their sewing-knitting course. She said that these courses would go a long way in making the girls self-reliant.   

The Union Minister afterwards distributed cheques worth Rs. 10 lakh to beneficiaries under MPLAD at boha and worth Rs. 2 lakh to bagh wala vehra dharamshala. She also laid the foundation stone of 66 KV grid at gurtharri. The grid would cost Rs. 4 and a half crore.  The Union Minister inaugurated the concrete pathway from kheeva dyalu to pandher which would benefit 7 villages. She also handed over sanction letters for the purpose of constructing 575 new houses at a cost of Rs. 8.62 crore and repairing of 56 old houses at a cost of Rs. 16 lakhs under housing for all scheme.Among others present on the occasion included Deputy Commissioner Mansa Varinder Kumar Sharma, Chairman District Planning Board Jagdeep Singh Nakai, Chairman PUNSEED Punjab Sukhwinder Singh Aulakh, Dr. Nishan Singh, Chairman Market Committee Bhikhi Baldev Singh Makha, Director Fisheries Department Dr. Madan Mohan, Mohnish Kumar, ADC (Development) Harinder Singh Sran, District President SAD (Rural) Gurmel Singh Fafre Bhai Ke, Ex-MLA Harbant Singh Datewas, District President Women’s wing (Rural) Balvir Kaur,  District President Women’s wing (Urban) Simarjit Kaur Simmi,  President Municipal Council Budhlada Harvinder Singh Bunty, Supervisor Nanhi Chhan scheme Mrs. Rajni Sachdeva, Circle President Amarjit Singh Kulana.
