Students of Ashmah International School, sector 70 put forward Debate, short plays and skits showing prevalence of corruption  in the society focusing on how corruption affects education, health, justice, democracy, prosperity and development. Students demonstrated the office scene of pension cell where the old people are harassed for getting their pensions and one forced to bribe the officers for their pension clearance bills. Other enacted corruption scenes were hospital offices, educational institutions etc.Principal of the school Amarpreet Kaur said that corruption undermines democracy, creates unstable governments, and sets countries back economically. It is extremely difficult to combat corruption, forcing the poor into ever more hopeless conditions while the select few in power get ever richer and more powerful.Director of the school J.S. Kesar motivated students united against corruption for development, peace and security. He further informed corruption is a serious crime that can undermine social and economic development in all societies.
