Underlining all round development of the state as priority of the government, Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand said work on equitable development of all three regions of the state is resolve of the government and addressing development aspirations of the people is high on the government agenda. He said all out efforts are on to provide basic facilities to the people living in every nook and corner of the state and mega projects have been launched to modernize infrastructure all across the state.Tara Chand was addressing a large deputation of Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) members. The Sarpanchs, Panchs and social activists from rural and border belts of the region put forth development matters of respective areas during the meeting.

Addressing delegations from Khour and adjoining areas, Tara Chand said setting up of new administrative units is a step forward in the direction to address development aspirations of the people and catapult socio-economic development in all nooks and corners of the state. He said cabinet has approved the CSC recommendations and finance and planning departments have been directed to prepare a roadmap for establishing new administrative units.Calling upon Panchayat representatives to closely monitor development works in their respective areas, the Deputy Chief Minister said local level monitoring of quality and progress is essential so that durable assets get created within stipulated time frame under these projects.

All those involved in the model village and other development projects should gear up their efforts and complete the works well in time to fully utilize the funds made available for these prestigious projects,” he added.The demands put forth for consideration inter-alia include, un-interrupted power supply, potable drinking water, road connectivity, benefits under various state and centrally sponsored government schemes and adequate water availability for irrigation purpose in summer season.While giving patient hearing to the deputations, Tara Chand assured that all genuine demands of the people would be addressed at the earliest and also issued on spot instructions to the concerned for taking up the issues on priority.
