Committee on Government Assurances stresses on assets creation under CSR

MLA Banihal, Vikar Rasool Wani who is also the  Chairman of "Committee on Government Assurances" has stressed upon the concerned authorities of various Northern Railways and other major projects to create assets like parks under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and provide sufficient employment opportunities to the local youth.The Committee currently on a two-day tour of Ramban district reviewed the status of various assets created under CSR by Railway and other project executors.The Committee directed the concerned authorities to submit the detailed report of expenditure incurred under CSR along with the number of local youth engaged by the construction companies. He further directed the NHAI to ensure the maintenance of National highwayLegislators, Javaid Hassan Beigh, Kamal Verma, Dina Nath Bhagat, Devinder Kumar Manyal, Neelam Langeh, Pawan Gupta, Deldan Namgail and Dr Gagan Bhagat besides Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Niraj Kumar and Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Aijaz attended the meeting.The Chairman directed the construction agencies to ensure drinking water supply for public where access to the natural sources of water has been restricted, blocked due to the construction of tunnels and roads.During the meeting, various members of the Committee also discussed issue of providing sufficient amount of compensation to the people whose land has been acquired for construction purposes. The Committee further directed the concerned agencies to prepare an action taken report based on the decisions taken by the Committee.
