To listen the demands and issues of the people of Bawa, Mahuand Mangith area the lost corners of Banihal constituency, former minister and Member Legislative Assembly Banihal Vikar Rasool Wani along with SDM Vikas verma and other officials of local administration Saturday hold a grievance redressal camp cum officials and public darbar at Bawa and Mahu Banihal Sub-Divisional Magistrate Banihal, executive Engineer PMGSY, Assistant Executive Engineers of PWD, PHE, PDD, PMGSY besides Sarpanhs, Panchs, district and sub-divisional officers and locals in large numbers attended the darbar.Residents were encouraged to ventilate their grievances along with their suggestions on public issues. Problems pertaining to road, storage of food grains, water and power supply, availability of ration and kerosene besides functioning of schools, Anganwari centres and other developmental issues were vociferously raised and discussed.

While speaking on the occasion,MLA Banihal Mr Vikar Rasool wani assured them that their complaints would be heeded and grievances redressed. He urged the officers to empathize with the people in remote areas of his assembly segment and solve their problems on priority.“We have to come up to the expectations of people by ensuring responsive administration. Delivery of quality public service is imperative for the uplift of the poor and downtrodden”, said the MLA Banihal.He also appealed the field staff members to meet their responsibilities diligently saying that their role is vital in addressing local problems.Speaking on the occasion, all the officers responded to all the concerns raised by the locals and assured their timely redressal.

Meanwhile MLA Banihal Mr Vikar Rasool Wani passed on necessary instructions to the concerned officers for redressal of issues raised by the locals.The locals hailed the initiative of holding public darbar by the MLA Banihal to listen to the people’s problems. Keeping in view the topography of the hilly area. Vikar added that the aim of holding such grievance redressal camps is to solve the problems of the rural people at their doorsteps. He also instructed the officers of key departments to increase their field visits and solve people’s grievances at block and tehsil levels.During this extensive tour among others Secretary Pradesh Congress committee J&K Imtiyaz Ahmed Khanday and other prominent congress leaders were also present.
