The fortnightly awareness campaign (Swachhta pakhwada) under Swacch Bharat Mission concluded here today with holding of a cleanathon/ marathon.The fortnightly awareness campaign started on September 27. Senior officers led by DDC Reasi, Ravinder Kumar besides NCC cadets, school children and a large number of locals participated in the marathon.During this campaign ,a total of 126 activities/ events including awareness camps , sanitation drives, Ratri Choupals, Mashal yatra ,Symposia, Quiz Competitions , wall paintings, Poster making, Skits, Nukkad Natak , Group songs, sports events , plantation drives, Gourav yatras etc were organized in different blocks of the district Reasi like Chassana, Mahore, Gulabgarh , Katra, Panthal, Reasi ,Pouni etc A large number of people participated in the awareness camps & conveyed the message of clean, green & Open Defecation Free District Reasi.During this campaign, a Sanitation Van/ Swacchta Doot vehicle travelled across the district covering 125 panchayats and carrying the message of Swacch Bharat Mission .The cleanathon (marathon) which started from DC Office complex after passing through Bus Stand, Nai Basti, SSP Office Mari, Gran More and Trintha, culminated at Mini Secretariat.
