Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad on Monday said the credit for last month's surgical strikes across the Line of Control goes to the brave Indian soldiers, not to the BJP-led central government or Prime Minister Narendra Modi."All the credit for successful surgical strikes goes to brave Indian soldiers, not to Modi or the BJP," Lalu told media persons here.He said the BJP is desperately trying to take credit for the September 29 surgical strikes at several terror training camps across the LoC in Pakistan-held Kashmir. He said it is wrong to say that these surgical strikes were the first of their kind. "The BJP has exposed itself by taking credit for it. In fact, surgical strikes took place in the past and will take place in future also if required," he said."Our soldiers are ready and prepared for any major surgical strike, if required," he asserted."Most of the soldiers are sons and daughters of farmers, who have been safeguarding and protecting our borders. We should be proud of our farmers also who produce food grains and send their children to become brave soldiers.""The army is known for its valour and it has given befitting reply to Pakistan's attempts to push terrorists into the country," he said.
