Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura inspects under-construction DH Building, Bus Stand Ganderbal

Minister for Agriculture, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura today conducted tour of Ganderbal district and inspected various ongoing developmental works being executed under core sectors.MLA Ganderbal, Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar, District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Mr. Tariq Hussain Ganai and other district officers accompanied the Minister during the tour.During the tour, the Minister inspected 200- bedded under construction District Hospital Building and Bus Stand, Ganderbal.  The District Hospital building was coming up at an estimated cost of Rs. 52.56 crore under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) on which Rs.25 crore stands expended so far and an amount of Rs. 4.5 crores is required immediately for the purpose.Directing the executing agency, Jammu and Kashmir Project Construction Corporation (JKPCC) to accelerate the pace of work on the hospital building ensuring its completion within six months, Mr. Hanjura also asked the concerned for timely completion of work on Bus Stand Ganderbal.

 Earlier, the Minister visited Government District Hospital Ganderbal and took stock of the facilities being provided to the patients there.  He inspected various sections of the hospital included X-Ray, Ultrasonography, Theater Block and emergency and in-patient wards. He interacted with the patients and attendants and enquired about the medicare facilities available in the hospital. The management informed the Minister that the hospital has adequate stock of life saving drugs with five ambulances in the hospital and about 850 patients are treated daily.  It was given out that 150 samples collected and analyzed on daily basis and an amount of Rs.3 lakh revenue is generated through conducted of various tests on monthly. It also informed that the management is facing difficulties due to lack of sufficient accommodation in hospital. 

Interacting with the staff of the hospital, the Minister asked the concerned to ensure cleanliness in and around the hospital premises. He also directed them to ensure every possible help to the patients and provide all medicare facilities to them well in time.Mr. Hanjura said that the present government led by the Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti is committed to provide best healthcare facilities to the people of the State.Later, the Minister visited Semen Frozen Plant Ranbir Bagh Ganderbal and took stock of functioning of the Plant.
