DDC Ganderbal inspects ongoing developmental projects, health institutions of district

The District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal today visited various areas of Ganderbal District to inspect the pace of progress on developmental projects being executed  in the district under various sectors. During the day-long tour the District Development Commissioner visited Engineering College Safapora, Primary Health Centre Safapora, Block Development Office Safapora, and District Hospital Ganderbal.Inspecting the construction work on Government College of Engineering and Technology, Safapora being executed by JKPCC at an estimated cost of Rs. 26 crore, the District Development Commissioner directed the executing agency to expedite the pace of work ensuring its timely completion i.e January 2018. The said project is being financed by Higher Education Department under scheme RUSA.Visiting Block Development Office Safapora wherein BDO Safapora apprised the District Development Commissioner about various issues pertaining to land dispute, the District Development Commissioner gave on-the-spot directions to Tehsildar Safapora to resolve the issues as soon as possible.District Development Commissioner also visited the Primary Health Centre Safapora and District Hospital Ganderbal and inspected various sections of institutions. He also interacted with the patients and attendants and enquired about the facilities being provided to patients in these health institutions. During the inspection of the developmental works, District Development Commissioner stressed the need for synchronization and better coordination among concerned departments and executing agencies so that the projects are completed at an earliest and their benefits percolate to the people.The District Development Commissioner was accompanied by Deputy General Manager JKPCC, Tehsildar Safapora and other concerned officers.
