Students of Ashmah International School ,Sector - 70 visited the Doll’s Museum in sector -23, Chandigarh which was an unforgettable experience. It houses splendid dolls and puppets covering the variant art of more than 25 countries. Students were delighted to see the colorful dolls of different states of India and from the other parts of the world. Students learnt about different dresses and cultures of India through lovely dolls dressed as brides from various states and regions. Students were later, spell bound to see the dolls which depict famous story characters, like Aladdin and his Magic Lamp, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Ali Baba and Forty Thieves and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The huge model of German railway station, at the middle of the exhibition hall, was also visual delight for them.

Principal Amarpreet Kaur this visit helped the students to have an insight into the colorful, imaginative and vivid world of dolls, showing culture of different states in India. The aim of the visit was just to inculcate the love for mechanical toys and how these toys help to increase the imaginative power of the child. Director , J S. Kesar ,International Dolls Museum brings an insight into the cultural ethnicity of India as dolls are attired in outfits of various states and depict the popular dance forms of India.
