Speaker Legislative Assembly, Mr. Kavinder Gupta today laid the foundation stone of deep drain works at ward no 47, Qasim Nagar, Jammu.The project to be executed by Jammu Municipal Corporation at an estimated cost of Rs.10 lakh will also include construction of lanes and drains and other allied works.The Speaker directed the concerned agencies to ensure timely completion of the works by using quality material.Later, the Speaker also visited Government High School Qasim Nagar and took stock of facilities for the students there. The staff apprised the speaker regarding various issues pertaining to up gradation of infrastructure in the school.The Speaker assured that adequate steps will be taken at an earliest to redress these problems.
