Sehrai, Akbar and Shah shifted to Humhama Police Station

Authorities on Thursday shifted top separatist leaders to Humhama Police Station while sources said that they may be shifted either to Jammu jails or outside state jails.Family sources of Geelani led top Hurriyat leaders Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai who is also General Secretary of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat told CNS that Sehrai Sahab was taken to police station Humhama on Wednesday night. “He was under house arrest since July 8, 2016. It was around 11 PM on Wednesday night that police officials came and shifted Sehrai Sahab to Humhama Police Station,” they said and added that Sehrai Sahab was asked to take medicines and clothes along with him.Few days back Sehrai was questioned by National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials in Srinagar.

Hurriyat Conference (G) sources added that Altaf Ahmad Shah and Ayaz Akbar too were shifted to Humhama Police Station late Wednesday night. Shah was under house arrest for last 54 days while Akbar was lodged in Police Station Parim Pora. The son of Ayaz Akbar is also under detention and was questioned by NIA officials.Reliable sources said that government is mulling to shift almost all the separatist leaders either to Jammu jails or outside state jails.  Meanwhile, sources said that personal secretary of Syed Ali Geelani, Peer Saifullah, continues to remain hospitalized at SKIMS Soura. He had recently returned from New Delhi after going through a medical check-up following which he was grilled by NIA.Pertinently, Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front chief, Muhammad Yasin Malik  and Noor Muhammad Kalwal who had been lodged at Joint Interrogation Centre (JIC) Humhama have been shifted to unknown location.
