Asking New Delhi to carry forward “Insaniyat, Jamhoriyat and Kashmiryat” where from former Atal Behari Vajpayee left it, Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) president and MLA Khansahib Hakim Mohammad Yasin today said despite Kargil war and attack on Parliament Vajpayee didn’t shy away from taking to Pakistan and separatists.“Today Home Minister Rajnath Singhji reiterated they are ready to talk to everybody under the ambit of “Insaniyat, Jamhoriyat and Kashmiryat.” If they mean it then why don’t they start it where from Vajpayeeji left it? What is stopping them from implementing it on ground?” Hakim Yasin questioned in a statement.“Vajpayeeji didn’t stop talking to Pakistan despite Kargil war in 1999 and attack on Parliament in 2001.  Instead of all problems, Vajpayee kept on talking with both Pakistan and separatists due to which situation on ground improved,” he said. The PDF chief said that today it seems Insaniyat and Jamhoriyat are limited to papers only.

“If Center wants to implement Insaniyat and Jamhoriyat on ground they should carry forward the mission of Vajpayeeji. They should hold a meaningful and unconditional dialogue with all stakeholders without wasting any further time.”The MLA Khansahib said that late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed used to say that in their “Agenda of Alliance” it is mentioned that including Hurriyat talks would be held with everybody. “Mehboobaji has been also declared so. But today neither the Chief Minister nor the Union Home Minister spoke a word about that. It is the suitable time to implement “Agenda of Alliance” if at all it exists,” he said.“Only words won’t work, there is immediate need to do something on ground,” Yasin added. He said recently a delegation of opposition parties met Prime Minister and “we could make it that he is positive towards Kashmir. And when Home Minister came here hopes were raised. But today’s press conference has let down people of Kashmir.”The PDF chief said situation in Kashmir was worsening day-by- day and it seems neither central nor state governments were having any control on the situation. “The situation is turning from bad to worse. It is high time that government of India invites separatists for talks. There is also need to resume the stalled dialogue between India and Pakistan. There is no option but to talk,” he added.
