A Blood Donation Camp was organized at Peace Cottage,Sector51,a branch of Prajapita Brahmakumaris IshwariyaVishwa Vidyalaya, HeadQuarters Mt.Abu,on Thursday 25th August ,2016.Brahmakumaris , an internationally run NGO ,is working towards World peace ,Universal brotherhood and harmony of the environment including health,religion and humanitarian activities of bringing the world together. In this philanthropic travel,the Blood Donation Camp organized at Peace Cottage ,Sector51 ,one of the most enthusiastic centres of the Brahmakumaris at Chandigarh ,was celebrated to commemorate the grand event of DadiPrakashmaniji Divas (observed as Universal Brotherhood Day by the Bks) along with Shri Krishna Janamashtami .
A Team of Doctors from PGIvisited the centre to monitor and guide all the people who were a part of this human cause.The camp started at 10 in the morning and took place till 2 p.m. Several lovers of humanity and social workers donated blood voluntarily and appreciated the noble endeavour .To add to the glory of the occasion,B.K Sister Sarika,centre-in –charge,PeaceCottage,said,”The camp proved to be a great success as citizens of the tricity showed active participation .”The doctors along with the BK family and general public made sure to spread the awareness of donating blood ,as few minutes of our life can save several lives.
