Punjab Government To Provide Financial Assistance Under Rkv Yojna

Punjab Government is providing financial assistance to the farmers of the state for the cultivation of vegetables and fruits under Rashtriya Krishi Vikah Yojna. Disclosing this here today Gurbachan Singh Babehali, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Agriculture said that 50 percent financial assistance would be given for construction of Poly Net Houses, insecticides and plastic crates to the farmers. He said that maximum Rs.1.00 lakh would be given per net house of 500 sqm. upto maximum 2000 sqm. to the beneficiaries. Babehali further said that 50 percent assistance would also be provided for plastic crate for horticulture crops marketing only and for insecticides Rs.6000/- per beneficiary. “40 to 75 percent assistance would be provided for National Vegetable Initiatives, highbred cultivation of vegetables, pack House and Poly House etc. only in the districts of Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala and Sangrur” added Mr. Babehali. Babehali said that under the guidelines of National Horticulture Mission 40 to 50 percent assistance would be given for cold store and pack house for the occupation of bee keeping, mushrooms and machinery for green house in the districts of Ropar, Moga, Barnala and Mansa.
