Member of Parliament Pratibha Singh has welcomed the decision of Centre Government for raising the quota of subsidized LPG cylinders from nine to 12 in a year. She thanked the UPA Chairperson Smt. Sonia Gandhi and the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh for considering this issue. She said that this decision was going to benefit every household of the country especially in the hilly States like Himachal Pradesh where LPG also helps in saving the precious forest wealth. Smt. Pratibha Singh has also thanked the Congress Vice President for persistently following this issue with the Union Government to increase the subsidized LPG refills from nine to 12 annually. She said that people were finding it tough to manage with only nine cylinders. Member of Parliament said that now the consumers will be able to get one cylinder per month at subsidized rate from April, 2014 onwards and households would get two additional subsidized cylinders in the year ending March. Smt. Pratibha Singh has also hailed the decision of suspending Aadhar link Subsidy Transfer Scheme which was causing inconvenience to the common people. She said that the State Government under the visionary leadership of the Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh has taken up this matter with the Union Government from time to time.
