Expressing serious concern over the killing spree and the subsequent silence of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the highly disturbing situation in Kashmir, CPI(M) leader, Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami said that the inhuman and irresponsible attitude will only aggravate the wave of protests in the trouble torn valley. In a statement issued to KNS, Tarigami said that the fresh killings in Kashmir and the administrative response to it speaks volumes of inhuman and irresponsible attitude of the administration towards the rising wave of protests in the valley.“All the democratic forces must raise their voices against the oppression. The Prime Minister continues to remain silent. It conveys what? Ignorance or arrogance?’ Tarigami questioned. He asserted that oppositional forces in the parliament must speak louder and make this government accountable and make Prime Minister to break his silence at least now.“Let it be noted that there is simply one solution to this festering wound that is political settlement acceptable to all the contenders and for that a meaningful institutionalized dialogue process with all stake holders must be initiated.” (KNS)
