The Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Anil Madhav Dave strongly emphasised the co-existence between forests, tribals and species of flora and fauna. Addressing the 2015 batch of Probationers of Indian Forest Service here today, Shri Dave said that conservation of trees and species of birds and animals and their co-existence is inherent in our civilisation. The Minister urged the trainee officers to strive to become good forest officers and make it a habit to get immersed in their field of work. He said that the quality of training faculty imparting training at various Institutes should be the best. 

Addressing the IFS probationers, Director General, Forest and Special Secretary, Dr. S.S. Negi said that the IFS provides an opportunity to the officers to live in the midst of nature. He said that the young officers should strive to work for poor people of forest-dependent communities. The 2015 batch of Probationers of Indian Forest Service comprise 61 officers, including four women and two foreign trainees from Bhutan. Additional Director General of Forest, Dr. Anil Kumar, Director, Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy, Dr. Shashi Kumar, Inspector General, Forest, Dr. Rekha Pai and other officers of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change were also present on the occasion. Dr. Rekha Pai delivered the vote of thanks.
