The resistance leaders, Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a joint statement on Thursday deplored and condemned the decision of the anti people regime for refusing to relax curfew and restrictions imposed across the state even after 13 days. The leadership in a statement issued to KNS said that it is the regimes vendetta and punishment against people for supporting the resistance movement and its leaders.Leadership said that the ruling regime needs to understand and be absolutely clear that the more they will repress and suppress people the more will people resist and revolt. “The people of Kashmir are resolute on their demand for freedom and justice and when nations rise for justice and against oppression no power on earth or military might can deter them as is being shown by the courageous and stead fast people of Jammu and Kashmir who are braving the worst kind of state aggression in modern times,” they said.

The joint leadership condemned the highhandedness of the anti people regime and said it has touched the new height today when their police force asked the local volunteers working to provide food and medicine to the injured and their attendants to stop their activities immediately or face consequences. they said that while such actions are highly deplorable They are an indicator to people to be ready as the assault on them will get more and more aggressive and anti human.

Appreciating people for coming to the rescue of victims, their attendants and the needy by exhibiting an Islamic and humanitarian spirit and providing medical aid and other essential items to them, the resistance leadership appealed to the affluent class in particular and people in general to collect rice and other essential food items at their respective Masjid/ Mohalla Committees and distribute accordingly among the poor and needy in their respective areas. Appreciating the consistency and resolve in these sensitive and difficult times the leadership urged people to remain steadfast in these sensitive and difficult times, the resistance leadership urged people to successfully implement all the programmes given by the unified leadership until July 25th.
