Chief whip of Congress legislative party in the house and MLA Banihal, Vikar Rasool Wani today during zero hour in ongoing assembly session asked the government to release the pending payments of contractors and wages of thousands of daily wagers, casual laborers in the state before Eid-Ul-Fiter, who have not been given single penny for months together.MLA Banihal Vikar Rasool Wani said: “The daily wagers and casual labourers who work with dedication have not been paid their wages for the past several months. These people do a lot of hard work without any returns.Vikar alleged that PDP-BJP government had promised that it will bring change in the state, but it seems the only change they have brought so far is to deny wages to the poor casual laborers. It is irony of sorts that these workers are not being paid even minimum wages. Vikar Rasool urged upon the government to release the payment of contractors and wages of these laborers on the auspicious day of Eid-ul-fiter.Vikar also expressed concern over the silence of the government over the issue of NYC’s who are fighting struggle of justice for their regularization from last two years.Government must redress the genuine issue of NYC’s on priority and direct all the SSP's to release salary of SPO's as 6000 before Eid as in major distts of the state SPO's are not get 600 per month said by congress legislator Vikar Rasool Wani.
