Highlighting the need of focus on improving the productivity in sheep and animal husbandry department MLA Banihal Vikar Rasool wani today suggested the government to consider the desirability of expansion of sheep and animal husbandry department and take it as key in promoting its production for strengthening the economy of state.Vikar Rasool said that j&k has great scope of bringing desirable change in these departments as maximum population lives in villages who are directly related with these departments, but the need time is to introduce modern methods of high bread techniques and other measures to boost the fruitful change in the existing system .Vikar Rasool further said that time has came to take benefit of available potential and resources in order to made our state self sufficient and self reliable as dependency factor is day by day damaging our economy.
He added that there is a huge gape in supply and demand of meat,malik and poultry items which can be filled by providing opportunities to the local unemployed youths in establishing their own units with positive support of the government.Vikar Rasool was today speaking on the grants of sheep and animal husbandry department he said that fisheries sector of his constituency is on serious threat as the local Nallah bislari is widely polluted by Local construction companies by throwing their industrial garbage and chemicals in this floating river he urged upon the government to promote fishing business In the state by providing high subsidized loans to unemployed youths for creating fishes farms.He also urged upon the government to ensure the construction of fish farm Banihal which was earlier acquired by NHW1 Vikar suggested that government should provide loans on low interests rates to farmers for establishing dairy and sheep farms in order to eradicate unemployment as well as to boost local production

Vikar Rasool also demand adjustment of local trainees in sheep and animal husbandry department on contractual seasonal bases and also give special focus in creating new animal and sheep centers as well as creative environment should be prevailed at Banihal.so that people may get attracted towards this sector.
