While strongly condemning the dictatorial attitude of the PDP-BJP coalition government, Chairman Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani these people are working hard to change the demographic character of the Jammu & Kashmir state by allowing the Pandit and Sainik colonies like RSS agendas here. He made it clear that the Kashmiri people will in no ways allow the implementation of the dangerous policies of the government and will resist every such move with tooth and nail.While criticizing the government and the state police for arresting of the pro-freedom people and imposing strict restrictions over the movements of the leadership, Syed Ali Geelani said that detentions and imprisonments have neither worried the resistance leadership and nor will hese kinds of oppressive tactics deter us in the future too.Syed Ali Geelani was addressing a daylong seminar at Tehreek-e-Hurriyat head office Hyderpora which was called to welcome the Holiest month of Islamic calendar “Ramadhan”.
In his presidential address, Hurriyat (G) chairman stressed for the reading and understanding of the Holy Quran which was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) by the Almighty Allah in this holy month.Syed Ali Geelani said that this Book is the guidance for the whole humanity and the Muslims all over the world are duty bound to follow and practice the teachings and moral principles of this ‘Book of God’. Syed Ali Geelani also appealed the religious scholars and leaders to work collectively against the sectarian practices of the immature and ill minded Molvies and invite the people towards the universal massage of peace (Islam). While lashing out at the RSS backed PDP government, Syed Ali Geelani said that the eagerness of these people (PDP) in following the anti-Kashmir and anti-Muslim policies of India is very sorrowful and concerning for the whole Kashmiri nation. Syed Ali Geelani said that the Jammu Muslims have been left on the mercy of the fanatic communal forces and the RSS takes this area as their conquered area where they do whatever they want. Syed Ali Geelani also condemned the arrest and detention of innocent youths and said that there are thousands of Muslims particularly youths languishing in the Indian jails and they are being prosecuted for being Muslims. The Muslim youths are fabricated in false and baseless cases and are detained for years together in jails. (KNS)
