The lead actors of "Dishoom", John Abraham and Varun Dhawan, have denied any similarities that the film has with one of John's most popular films "Dhoom", which has become a successful franchise now.At the trailer launch of the film, when asked about the similarities with "Dhoom" and if "Dishoom" can also be made into a successful franchise like "Dhoom", Varun said: "This is nothing like 'Dhoom', but because John was in the first 'Dhoom', I think he should answer why it is different."
