The District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting of lead Bank Office Srinagar was held today under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar.While reviewing progress of the lead bank, meeting was informed that various financial institutions have disbursed loan of Rs. 1677 crore under priority sector including agriculture, small enterprises, education and housing and Rs. 2304 crore under non-priority sector which includes heavy and medium industry during last financial year.It was also informed in the meeting that the performance of the credit institutions and banks in deposit has increased to Rs. 18202 crore while as advances grew from Rs. 7643 crore to Rs. 8865 crore as on March 31, 2016.

Earlier, the Lead District Manager highlighted the performance of the bank.Speaking on the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner emphasised upon the need to improve CD ratio by the banks by extending more credit facilities to the people. He asked the banks to maximise their share of loan disbursement in education and housing sectors.The meeting was also attended by Joint Director Planning, Srinagar, LDO RBI, and other line departments and district coordinators of all banks operating in the district.
