Budding entrepreneur and social activist from North Kashmir’s Baramulla district Altaf Asrar joined National Conference on Tuesday in the presence of NC Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani. Asrar joined the party at a function at party head quarters Nawai Subah in Srinagar and was welcomed by Nasir Aslam Wani into the party fold in the presence of senior party workers and office bearers including former Minister Sakina Itoo and Youth party president Salman Ali Sagar.“Altaf Asrar’s entry into the party is an indication of NC’s growing popularity not only in Baramulla but in the entire State. His work as a social and political activist is exemplary and his service to the people speaks louder than words. 

I am sure his addition to the party will strengthen the party at the grassroots level and also give him an opportunity to serve the people of the State”, Nasir Aslam Wani said while welcoming Asrar Altaf. He added that National Conference is gaining popularity in Kashmir.Speaking on this occasion, Altaf Asrar thanked the Party Leadership for welcoming him into the party and said he would leave no stone unturned to strengthen the party and would play an active role in fulfilling the vision of NC Working President Omar Abdullah and patron Dr Farooq Abdullah.Altaf Asrar is the son of renowned film maker and social activist Dr Asrar Sultanpuri.
