Residents in Shopian village are angry with the power development department for failing to re-appear the defunct transformer from the last one month.Residents of Mir Mohalla in Karea Shadab said that their transformer is defunct from the last one month but the PDD officials have not shown any interest in reappearing it despite appeals by them.“We are living dark nights from the last one month, our students cannot study and we face different problems due to absence of electricity’ the residents said.They said nearly 250 families are living in this area and are facing difficulties from the last one month.“PDD has send us bills for this month but no electricity” the residents said, appealing to higher authorities for redressal of their grievance.
