National Conference Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani on Wednesday lashed out at the Government for failing to ensure justice is done with the family of the murdered Peer Bagh youth and said contradictions in the police investigation have exposed the callousness and insensitivity of the Government. The NC Provincial President expressed dismay about the fact that the post-mortem report had rubbished the earlier police investigation and version and said even after months have passed since the tragedy the Police has failed to ascertain the actual truth.“This is worrisome and also extremely callous and insensitive of the State Government and the Administration. The family of the young man deserves justice and the true answers about the tragedy and it is the duty of the Police and the Government to carry out a proper, objective and professional investigation into this matter”, the NC Provincial President added.
