The Union Minister for Food Processing Mrs Harsimrat Kaur Badal today said that the arrival of political strategists for COngress in Punjab and Aam Aadmi Partys' (AAP)fake survey predicting 2017 polls are symbols of both the parties coming to an end in state.While talking to mediapersons today after conducting sangat darshan in village Aklia Kalan, Mrs Badal said that the Congress party and its leaders have lost innings at all the fronts, which has forced them to take support of election strategists. She said that twice rejected in continuation by the people of Punjab, the Congress was now on its last legs in state and by the 2017 polls it will be wiped off the face of state.Asnwering a media query the Union Minister said that Congress was afraid of the storm of development SAD-BJP government has heralded in state and the kind of response it has received, while the AAP was spending hard earned money of people on conducting fake surveys. She added that the AAP leadership was spending donated hard earned money of public to fake surveyors to grind its political axe. She said that the 2017 polls will bring COngress strategies and AAP surveys to a grinding halt.
On being asked about the SAD-BJP alliance, the Union Minister said that the alliance won previous elections on developmental agenda and the 2017 polls' victory will also be on same pattern. She added that in last 9 years Punjab has carved a niche for itself not only in the field of development in North India, albeit in the entire nation. She said that the only one-point agenda of SAD-BJP government was to ensure all around development of state in each and evry sphere and the record development ushered is a proof of this agends.Answering another media query Mrs Badal said that people should learn to differentiate between politics of development and destruction as the anti-Punjab forces have always given step motherly treatment to the state.Talking about the development SAD-BJP alliance brought in state in last 9 years, she said that the government has laid historical milestones, in whose compeititon Congress stands nowhee. She said that COngress doesnot have even one accomplishment to claim as instead of leading a comfortable life, its leaders have done nothing for state.
She added that the huge increase in state's income was an example to consider as during Congress rule this income was mere Rs 5000 cr, which has now swollen upto Rs 300000 cr. The number of pensioners in last 9 years has increased from 14 lacs to 22 lacs, while the number of bluc card holders is more than 28 lacs. She added that during its reign, the Congress government had put a complete ban on recruitments, whereas SAD-BJP government gave jobs to 1.5 lacs youngsters and another 1.25 lacs are being given employment this year.Answering a media query on the agrarian crisis in Punjab, Mrs Badal said that the state government will leave no stone unturned to help the farmers of state. She aded that in lieu of the damaged cotton crop, the Chief Minister Mr Parkash SIngh Badal gave compensation to the tune of Rs 640 cr. She added that by wearing the mask of pro-people policy, the Congress and AAP are on look out to draw political mileage from every issue. She added that the alliance government has given these parties no issue to talk about by fulfilling its poll promises of the year 2007 and 2012 and by implementing cent per cent welfare schemes in state.
Terming the statements of Pakistan team, which returned after probing the Pathankot attack case, as unfortunate the Union Minister said that it was wrong on the part of joint investigation team to give such statement after probing the issue.When being asked about the anti-drugs drive launched in Punjab, Mrs Badal said that Punjab government was fighting its battle against drugs. She said that the Punjab police has ended smuggling and supply line and the aggressive campaign will continue in times to come.Earlier the Union Minister laid foundation stone of water works plant to be constructed at village Kothe Natheana at cost of Rs 133.90 lacs. During sangat darshan at vilage Aklia Khurd she gave approval of Rs 55 lacs and gave Rs 15 lacs for various developmental works. Similarly, she gave grant of Rs 13.5 lacs to village Mehma Sarkari. She also inaugurated the procurement centers in village Aklia Kalan and approved various projects at village Dan Singh Wala during sangat darshan. At village Ablu, she inaugurated the newly laid minor, conducted sangat darshan at village Kaur Singhwala and inaugurated grain market at Kothe Sandhwan. She also conducted sangat darshan at villages Killi Nihal Singh Wala, Kother Phula Singh.MLA Mr Darshan SIngh Kotfatta, DC Dr Basant Garg, SSP Mr Swapan Sharma, SAD press secretary Dr Om Prakash Sharma and officers of other departments were also present.
