Punjab Deputy Chief Minister  Sukhbir Singh Badal today accused the then Prime Minister of India Mrs. Indira Gandhi for seeking assistance and strategic plan from Britishers to carry out a well-planned devastating attack on pivot of Sikhism Darbar Sahib Amritsar in 1984.Describing this extremely unfortunate and shameful act, Mr. Badal accompanied by SAD Secretary General and Rajya Sabha Member, Mr. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa said revelations in this regard had proven that Congress was desperate to devastate the religious and holiest shrine of Sikhism at the cost of sacrificing the internal security of nation. He said "we could gauge the credentials of Congress from the approach adopted by Mrs. Indira Gandhi since our great martyrs and freedom fighters fought a relentless freedom struggle against slavery and atrocities inflicted upon Indians by the Britishers but it was very unfortunate that then Congress PM sought assistance from Britishers to attack the sacred Golden Temple in '84.

Talking to media persons Mr. Badal said that Aam Aadmi Party has failed badly in its prelim tests by deviating from its election manifesto and predicted that it could not succeed in its political future. He said on the first day of AAP's much publicized Janata Darbar, its party chief failed completely and ran away without addressing the public grievances and even withdraw his decision to hold Janata Darbar in future. Mr. Badal said that there would be no affect of AAP in Punjab as it came to power in Delhi due to bad governance of Congress Party.Coming down heavily on PPCC Chief Mr. Partap Singh Bajwa, the Deputy CM described him a biggest 'rogue' since Bajwa family had been indulged in smuggling, drug peddling, and land grabbing. Mr. Badal reminded Congress chief not to have daydreams to rule Punjab having masters in smuggling, drug peddling and land grabbing and he should reconcile the fact that Congress could not come to power in Punjab for next three decades.

Earlier inducting Congress leader Mr. Jaswant Singh Gajjanmajra and PPP leader Mr. Ajit Singh Chanduaraian to their parent party Shiromani Akali Dal, Mr. Badal said in coming months there would be fury of exodus in Congress Party as hundreds of leaders were eager to join SAD fold.Welcoming the both leaders in the SAD fold, Mr. Badal said they would be rewarded with due respect and status in party. He also exhorted the massive gatherings at induction ceremony of both leaders to wipe out the Congress led UPA Government for country, state and in the interests of Countrymen. He appealed to the masses to elect SUkhdev Singh Dhindsa in the ensuing parliamentary election for better progress of Punjab.Meanwhile, presiding over a Sangat Darshan program, Mr. Badal after hearing a detailed demand charter of prominent citizen of Malerkotla made significant announcements to mark exemplary development of the city. Mr. Badal on the spot announced Rs. 23 crore for remodeling of Rohira and Kangniwal irrigation distributaries besides upgrading Government High School, Malerkotla and development projects worth Rs. 100 crore.In a significant announcement Mr. Badal said that law and order was the top priority of SAD-BJP Government and it would be maintained at all costs. On the demand put forth by Mr. Izhar Alam to install CCTV Cameras in the city to maintain law and order, Mr. Badal announced that Malerkotla would have CCTVs in coming months as he has cleared the file in this regard. He also announced to construct a world class bus stand in Malerkotla.Prominent amongst those present on the occasion included Mr. Iqbal Singh Jhundan, MLA, Abdul Gaffar and Nusrat Ikram Bagga Khan both ex-ministers and Rajinder Singh Kanjla.
