CRPF to get 514 new combat soldiers , DG CRPF honours personnel

Enduring the Chilly cold winds in one of the magnificent Passing Out cum Attestation Parade, as many as 514 newly recruited constables of 96th & 97th Batch of RTC Srinagar took final oath in a fascinating colourful Oath Taking Ceremony held at Recruit Training Centre, CRPF Humhama, Srinagar. The Parade was presided over by K. Durga Prasad, IPS, DG-CRPF. Prasad was welcomed by Mahesh Kumar, Deputy Inspector General/Principal of RTC. Jaidev Kesri, Commandant RTC Srinagar, administered the 'Oath of Allegiance’ to 514 CTs/GD. K. Durga Prasad, IPS, DG CRPF took the salute and reviewed the Parade as Chief Guest. On this occasion, distinguished guests, Shri.S.K.Bhagat, IPS, SDG CRPF (J&K Zone), V.S. Yadav, IPS, IG (Training) CRPF Dte., Atul Karwal, IPS, IG CRPF Srinagar Sector, Nalin Prabhat, IPS, IG CRPF (Ops) Kashmir, K.K. Sharma, DIG CRPF Srinagar (South), Shri.Chhaju Ram, DIG CRPF, Sanjeev Dhundia, DIG CRPF Srinagar (North), S.K.Tigga, DIG, CRPF, Pukhraj Jaipal, DIG GC CRPF Srinagar, Brig.S.K.Sharma, DIG (Training) CRPF Dte., all Commandants of Srinagar based CRPF units, Officers from Indian Army , BSF, SSB and J&K Police also graced the occasion with their presence.

The Chief Guest gave away the prizes and trophies to several trainees for their outstanding performances.

Mahesh Kumar, DIGP/Principal RTC, addressed the newly passed out constables and said- “The aim of this institution is to carve a disciplined CRPF soldier out of a common man. In this institution, Young individuals are trained in Battle Craft, Field Craft, Weapon Tactics, drill etc. in consonance with On-Ground requirements while maintaining Peace in the Nation.”He highlighted the diversified role of RTC and explained the endeavours of RTC, Srinagar in shaping the all-round personality of trainee for grooming them as excellent soldiers of future by imparting qualitative Training. Since its inception, the Training Centre has successfully trained 22,179 Constables in the Force. Further He wished them best of luck for joining this Force. Soon after newly recruited constables will be joining various CRPF Battalions in different parts of the country.In another address by Chief Guest K. Durga Prasad, IPS he congratulated the newly passed out constables and extended his best wishes to the Officers and trainers of RTC for their excellent efforts in organizing such magnificent Parade. He urged the newly passed out Constables to dedicate themselves to the cause of the Nation and abide by the Oath just taken.In order to gratefully acknowledge their services rendered on operational front, Officers and personnel of CRPF, Indian Army, and J&K Police were awarded DG’s Commendation Disc and Certificate by K. Durga Prasad, IPS, DG CRPF. He appreciated their role and congratulated them to continue with the same spirit in coming future. (KNS)
