Chief Minister Punjab, Parkash Singh Badal will lay the Foundation Stone of Guru Ravidass Memorial at Khuralgarh in district Hoshiarpur on April 3, informed  Sohan Singh Thandal, Tourism & Cultural Affairs Minister Punjab.Presiding over the meeting of the Executive Committee of Guru Ravidass Memorial Foundation, Mr. Sohan Singh Thandal, informed that a memorable function would be held on this occasion and thousands of  people from across the length and breadth of the state will participate in the event. The main highlight of the event would be the participation of luminaries of the Sant Samaj, he added.Mr. Thandal also informed that as per the decision of the Executive Committee, the construction of the boundary wall of the memorial has been commenced and soon the tender would be floated for the construction of the memorial. He informed that Guru Ravidass Memorial is being set up at Khuralgarh in approximately 18 acres of land at an estimated cost of Rs. 110.00 Crores. 

Detailed discussions were held on various aspects of the organization of the function slated for April 3. An onsite meeting to work out the modalities of the function with the local authorities was also fixed.On the occasion, Mr. Thandal also directed all the officers concerned to gear up their activities so that a memorable function be organised on the occasion of foundation laying ceremony of Guru Ravidass Memorial.In the meeting held here today in the Office of the Tourism Minister in the  Punjab Civil Secretariat, the members of the Executive Committee including Mr. Som Parkash, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Mr. S.K. Sandhu, Principal Secretary to CM Punjab, Principal Secretary Tourism Mrs. Anjali Bhawra , Mr. N.S Randhawa, Director Tourism, Mr. Rahul Chabba, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Gen) Hoshiarpur, Mr. Jasbir Singh Sabar , Member Concept Committee, Mr. Sarabjot Singh Behal, Member Concept Committee along with the officials from the department of Finance and PWD participated.
