District Development Commissioner, Yasha Mudgal today chaired an interactive meeting with the representatives of Beopar Mandal Baramulla. The meeting aimed at discussing various issues related to the sustainable development of Baramulla Town. Joint Director Planning, A. G. Malik, President Beopar Mandal, Ishfaq Ahmad Qazi, General secretary Beopar Mandal, Tariq Ahmad Magloo and Joint Secretary, Javaid Ahmad were present during the meeting.The representatives of Beopar Mandal appreciated the efforts of the DDC in solving various long pending demands of Baramulla town. While thanking the DDC for ensuring the restoration of all of the street lights of Baramulla town and streamlining the traffic system in the town, President Beopar Mandal also mentioned the fact that the long pending restoration work of the buildings of Boys Higher Secondary school Baramulla has been taken up due to the efforts of the DDC.Meanwhile, various issues were put forth by the representatives of the Beopar Mandal during the meeting. SRTC Bridge, upgrading infrastructure and increasing staff strength of district hospital, upgrading sanitation facilities, Beautification of Baramulla town and Traffic jamming were the notable issues. Discussion was also held over the identification of site for establishment of STP for the town. Garbage dumping sites were also mentioned during the meeting.The DDC while highlighting the fact that every effort will be put in place to solve the issues timely, mentioned the fact that works on most of these projects will be sooner taken up on priority basis.
