A meeting of school officers including DEPO, Deputy Chief Education Officer, Principals, Assistant Director Planning , Zonal Education Officer (ZEOs) and headmasters of various schools of Jammu district was convened under the chairmanship of Chief Education Officer (CEO) J.K Sudan at Government Higher Secondary School, Gandhi Nagar.The meeting was conducted to discuss and review various issues pertaining to school education department in Jammu district.In the meeting, feedback was received from the officers, CEO Jammu dwelt upon the core issues of the department. It was impressed upon the officers that benefit of schemes including ''Beti Bachao and Beti Padao’’ must reach the people.
In the meeting, head of institutions and ZEOs were directed to organize seminars and debates at institutional and Zonal level regarding the scheme so as to aware the local population in Rural as well as in Urban areas regarding its importance.With regard to upcoming examinations, it was stressed that all the staff involved in the process should necessarily remain ‘fair and honest’. All officers were directed to cooperate for smooth conduct of the examination.With regard to Mid-day-meals programme, CEO said that quality should be maintained. The heads of the respective schools were asked to maintain proper records with regard to the same and submit to CEO Jammu.Further, head of the institutions and ZEOs were directed to submit the latest status of those institutions where civil works for construction of buildings under different components (Plan/SSA/RMSA) are going on.
