In order to enhance and provide better facilities to female contingents at their working places, Jammu and Kashmir Police is focusing on various welfare schemes for the ladies cops and providing more facilities to ease their problems.This was disclosed by Chairperson J&K Police Wives Welfare Association (PWWA), Mrs. K. Vijaya Rajendra, while inaugurating a Gym cum Fitness Centre and Child Day Care Centre (Crèche) at the Battalion Headquarters Gulshan Grounds today. The Centre will exclusively be for lady contingents and also Child Day Care Centre for the wards of lady cops. She said that the facility has been made available by the Police Organization under its Civic Action Programme.

While interacting with women officers and cops, Mrs. Vijaya said that knowing the professional duties of ladies cops and looking after their children, the Police Organization is focusing on enhancing the facilities at their respective working places. She asked them to make use of Gym facility for maintaining robust health and also take care of their children through creche facility. She appreciated the cops for their dedication and performing professional duties and other achievements.Earlier, the Commandant, Mahela Battalion, Ms. Anita Sharma briefed the Chairperson about the day-to-day working of Battalion and other requirements.On the occasion, a cultural programme was presented by the women officials, which was highly appreciated by the Chairperson and other PAWWA members who were present on the occasion.
