BJP national secretary Tarun Chugh today ridiculed the Congress for selling dreams of drugs free Punjab if the party forms a government in Punjab.Chugh said while PPCC chief Capt Amarinder Singh was claiming that he would make Punjab drugs free within hours of taking oath as Chief Minister, Congress leader and Malerkotla assembly in-charge Razia Sultana was publicly asking Capt Amarinder Singh to make provision for the sale of 'Bhukki' (Poppy husk) for the people of Punjab and especially for the people of her constituency. He said this has exposed Congress' double standards on the issue of drugs in Punjab. The BJP leader said, Congress has always indulged in petty politics on the very important and sensitive issue of drugs in the state.  He said that in the past also, Congress leaders had been accused of indulging in trade of drugs or supporting the drug mafia.Chugh reminded Amarinder of a letter written by him to AICC chief Sonia Gandhi wherein he had himself not only leveled serious allegations against former PPCC chief Partap Singh Bajwa but also accused him of supporting and patronising Khalistani elements. He said that it was quite unfortunate that Congress takes each and every opportunity that comes its way to politicize the issue of drugs to use it for scoring some brownie points over its opponents.
