Ramesh Dhawala, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister in a press statement issued here today said that the State was being allocated quota of essential commodities by the Central Government on the basis of 2001 census, which was considerably less than the actual requirement of the State at present. He said that due to the indifferent attitude of the Centre, 11,63,264 Above Poverty Line consumers of the State were getting 9 kg rice and 18 kg flour per month on a ration card instead of 15 kg rice and 20 kg flour.
