To review the financial and physical progress under various components of National Rural Health Mission, District Development Commissioner, Ramban Bashir Ahmed Dar convened a meeting here today.The meeting was attended by, Chief Planning Officer, Parshotam Kumar, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Anwar Bhat, Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Ramban, Dr. Saifuddin, District Social welfare Officer, Varunjeet Singh Charak, District Information officer, BMOs and various other members of District Health society (DHS).Besides reviewing the physical and financial progress under NRHM, issues with respect to power supply at NTPHC Sanasar, vacation of NTPHC buiding Halla from illegal occupation of local resident, water shortage at CHC Banihal and Batote, filling of vacancies of doctors and para medical staff were also discussed.DDC emphasised ensuring presence of staff at all health centres and in this regard, he asked BMOs to initiate strict action against absentees. Further, he directed them to intensify Pulse Polio Immunization in the district.The DDC also directed Manager, J&K Bank, Ramban to facilitate opening of bank accounts of beneficiaries under JSSY under zero balance.
