District Level Consultative / District Level Review Committee meeting chaired by DDC Ramban, Bashir Ahmed Dar was held at conference hall Maitra, Ramban here today.District Development Commissioner who is also the Chairman of DLRC reviewed the 2nd quarter up to September 2015 of Annual Credit Plan for the fiscal 2015-16.During the meeting threadbare discussion was held on the decisionS taken in the last DLRC cum DCC meeting and other financial assistance schemes under banking sector launched by the state and central government for the welfare of backward and weaker sections of the society. Lead District Manager, Ramban informed that various banks have recorded 851.19 crore in deposits and 249.64 crore in advances with the CD ratio of 29% up to September 2015.
DDC emphasized on effective implementation of government sponsored schemes and to increase in the credit deposit ratio.He asked the bankers and other concerned district heads to organize the awareness camps in remote and backward areas of the district. He directed the bankers to provide finance for opening small scale units and establishments, specifically focusing on agriculture and horticulture sectors. He also asked them to adopt area-wise potential oriented approach while processing and sanctioning the loan cases of beneficiaries.He also stressed upon all the line departments and financial institutions to ensure that the targets earmarked for financial year 2015-16 should be achieved in full to provide more economic development opportunities to the beneficiaries of the district.Later, DDC also launched “Potential Linked Credit Plan (PLCP) 2016-17” of NABARD with the exploitable potential of 16203.03 lakh in the district which can be harnessed by different banks to promote sustainable and equitable agriculture and rural prosperity. CPO, Ramban, AGM, NABARD, LDM, SBI, LDO, Reserve Bank of India, AD Employment, GM DIC, Chief Agriculture Officer, bankers besides other officers also attended the meeting.
