Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, today inaugurated SABAAT- A multipurpose Hall to be used by the piligrims, at Pakharpora Shrine.Vice Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, Peer Muhammad Hussain, District Development Commissioner, Budgam Mir Altaf Ahmad, Director Tourism, Kashmir, Mehmood Ahmed, Executive Officer Yousmarg Development Authority (YDA) and other officers of district administration were present on the occasion.The well furnished SABAAT Hall with all facilities has been completed within a short period of 4 months at a cost of Rs 39 Lakhs which would facilitate the pilgrims visiting the shrine of Hazrat Syed Ali Aali Balkhi (RA).
Speaking on the occasion the Minister said that Pakharpora would be developed on modern lines for which several initiatives have been taken. He said directions for preparing comprehensive plans for development and beautification of the shrine and its adjacent areas have already been given to the concerned departments .The Minister announced that the Park with the Shrine premises would also be developed for which sufficient funds have been earmarked for the current financial year.Responding to the demands of construction of playing field, lanes and drains and installation of street lights in Pakharpora town, the Minister assured that these demands would be redressed on priority. The Minister said that implementation of National Food Security Act (NFSA) in the State is a major decision of the government adding that schemes like Ladli Beeti and Aasra would benefit a large chunk of poor people of the State.Vice Chairman, Waqf Board also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the achievements of the Board in the area.
